Premier Dance Arts of Los Alamitos (PDA), located in the heart of Los Alamitos, CA, is a premier dance space offering exceptional training for dancers of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds, including adult practitioners. Home to the Los Alamitos Ballet School (LABS) and Los Alamitos Ballet Theatre (LABT), PDA is a dynamic hub for both aspiring young dancers and professional artists. Founders Renée and David Kim, formerly of the Dance Theatre of Harlem and Ballet West are seasoned professionals with experience performing around the world. They bring their expertise and passion to every aspect of the school and company.

PDA offers Open Adult & Teen Ballet Classes six days a week, with options for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Live piano accompaniment is available for select open classes, played by some of Southern California’s finest pianists. PDA hosts seasonal workshops, masterclasses, and adult summer intensives, providing ample opportunities for further growth and artistic development. The facility boasts two spacious, renovated dance studios, sprung marly floors, a baby grand piano, professional sound systems, and upgraded HVAC for a top-tier training experience.

The Los Alamitos Ballet School (LABS) is where young dancers—from toddlers as young as two years old to pre-professionals—receive world-class instruction. LABS provides a well-rounded dance education, focusing on classical ballet while also offering other styles such as contemporary, jazz, and K-pop. With expert instruction, personalized mentoring, and performance opportunities, LABS prepares students for professional careers in dance and nurtures a lifelong love for the art form. LABS students have two major annual performance opportunities: the magical *Land of the Sweets* and the captivating *Spring Performance*, which allow them to showcase their growth and skill in front of an audience. LABS also offers wonderful annual summer dance camps and intensives for those wishing to continue their development.

PDA is also home to the Los Alamitos Ballet Theatre (LABT), a pre-professional, nonprofit dance company dedicated to educating, enlightening, and inspiring. LABT performs 6-7 times a year, providing dancers with opportunities to showcase their talents in high-caliber productions while gaining invaluable stage experience. The company collaborates with institutions like the Long Beach Symphony to strengthen its community connections. LABT is excited to embark on its first annual Dance Across Cultures international tour to Trinidad and Tobago. LABT will be collaborating with The Aster Johnson Repertory Dance Theatre with a professional dance company to bring the art form to underserved communities throughout the island nation. LABT's upcoming Ballet in the Breeze Fundraising Gala will feature all proceeds benefiting the company's upcoming tour and other artistic initiatives.
